ROBERTO YRANELA, ATTORNEY AT LAW

Principal

Roberto Yranela is a Seattle and Tacoma area traffic ticket and DUI lawyer. Roberto defends people accused of traffic tickets, speeding tickets, DUI, and other criminal traffic violations. He is a DUI lawyer experienced in fighting various criminal misdemeanor cases such as assaults and thefts. He fights traffic tickets in many counties throughout Washington State, most particularly King County, Pierce County, Snohomish County, Kitsap County, Thurston County, and Lewis County to name a few. He most commonly defends traffic and DUI tickets in the cities of Seattle, Tacoma, Everett, Bellevue, Federal Way, and Renton. He has defended cases almost anywhere in Washington State. Having successfully defended thousands of traffic tickets and various criminal violations, Roberto has developed a focused law practice concentrating on a handful of case types. Roberto defends those that hold CDLs and drive for a living. He regularly defends for hire cab drivers, transit coach operators, class A interstate truck drivers, Uber drivers, and delivery drivers. As a CDL defense lawyer with a profound knowledge of commercial driver issues, Roberto regularly defends CDL holders. He is a panel member for the Teamster’s Union.

Roberto is part of the ARAG attorney network, which provides legal insurance for its members. As an approved ARAG attorney, he regularly represents employees in technology companies such as Microsoft in the Seattle and Eastside areas.

Roberto is a proud honors graduate from the University Of Washington in Seattle, holding bachelor’s degrees in Political Science and Psychology. He obtained his Juris Doctor from Valparaiso University School Of Law in Valparaiso, Indiana. He graduated law school with an Honors award in Law, Business, and Economics, and he obtained a pro-bono public service award for helping financially disadvantaged people access justice.

MATTHEW SKAU, ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Matthew Skau is a former prosecutor and occasional pro-tem judge with a background in international studies and legal ethics. He has been helping people accused of criminal misdemeanors and traffic infractions since 2015. He practices in a variety of district and municipal courts in King, Snohomish, Skagit, Whatcom, and Pierce counties with occasional forays beyond. Matthew graduated with his Juris Doctorate from Seattle University School of Law. He has a Masters degree in International Studies from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts in English.

ROBIN TU, ASSOCIATE ATTORNEY

Robin Tu is a former municipal and county prosecutor with a background centered on practicing criminal law. He is passionate about ensuring that every person is treated with dignity and respect in the legal system, and strongly believes that every person being accused of a crime has the right to be fully heard and vigorously advocated for.

Robin grew up and went to public schools in Seattle, graduated from the University of Washington in 2017, then got his Law Degree from the University of Minnesota in 2020, with concentrations in International Law and Criminal Law. Robin has season tickets to the Seattle Mariners and also loves playing chess in his free time.

SARA LIU, ATTORNEY OF COUNSEL

Of Counsel

Sara Liu is a traffic ticket and DUI attorney. She commonly defends traffic tickets, suspended license, and DUI cases in the Pierce County area. Most of her Washington cases are in Tacoma and Federal Way. Sara has a keen eye for detail and is entrusted to write law briefs, review DUI traffic stop videos, and BAC room videos. She is in charge of legal research and is entrusted to keep the law firm up to date on changes in the law. She is forward thinking and keeps our law practice ahead of the pack. Sara double checks the issues on every criminal case to make sure we did not miss anything. She ensures the deals we take are solid and that you get the best possible result for your case. She is the law firm’s fine tooth comb.

Sara grew up in the Tacoma and Federal Way areas. She graduated from the University Of Washington in Seattle with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology. Sara has also attended college in the University Of Manitoba in Canada, where she studied French immersion. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the University Of Detroit Mercy in Detroit, Michigan, and a Canadian Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Windsor. Sara is licensed to practice law in Washington State and Ontario, Canada. Sara speaks, reads, and writes fluent Mandarin Chinese. She frequently travels to China. Sara has a truly international perspective and this perspective allows her to see the law from unique and creative angles.

LYNN DO, OFFICE MANAGER

Lynn is our Office Manager. She is responsible for all administrative aspects of our firm. Her primary field of specialty is e-commerce and marketing. She graduated from the University of Washington with a B.A. in Economics in 2008 and went on to complete her MBA online in 2014 at Western Governors University while working full-time. In addition, she is also fluent in Vietnamese. Her unique combination of experiences in marketing, technology, and the legal field make her an invaluable part of the team. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, going on road trips, spending time with family and playing with her puppy Sunny.
